AI consent and face photo processing
This page explains what happens when AI try-on or clothing recognition from a photo is started.
When we send a photo to AI
A face photo is sent to AI only when the user starts try-on and accepts the consent shown next to the generate button.
For AI try-on, the provider receives the face photo and only the clothing photos shown next to the selected outfit. For AI vision, only the analyzed clothing photo is sent.
Why we process the photo
The purpose is to generate a preview image of the outfit or recognize basic clothing attributes: type, color, season, formality and style.
The result is not an identity document or guaranteed copy of appearance. The face may not be identical and the clothing description may need manual correction.
Consent scope
Consent covers a single AI preview generation or a single photo analysis. Later generations require another intentional user action.
The user can skip AI features and still use the wardrobe, outfit generator, planner and recommendations.
Retention and deletion
StyleMate AI does not save the face photo as a permanent app record. The try-on preview stays only in the current browser session until replaced or refreshed.
Wardrobe photos can be deleted in the app. For account export or deletion, the user can use the contact details on the data contact page.
The AI provider processes the request technically to return a result. Production should use an API account with data training disabled where the provider offers that setting.
Data minimization
The app limits the number of reference images sent to AI and does not send the whole wardrobe to try-on.
Do not upload photos of other people without consent or photos containing sensitive background information.
Limits and safety
AI features are limited per account and across the whole app to reduce abuse and control costs.
Production uses shared Cloudflare counters, Turnstile where useful, and logs without prompts, photos, secrets or sensitive data.
